The EG is the work horse of the B series panel mount receptacles
, and typically the most readily available receptacle style. Think of it as the “base model” front mounting fixed front flange receptacle or the launching point from which the other receptacle styles are derived. The characteristic feature of the LEMO B series is the keying system, so it’s important to understand and properly specify the proper key for your application. The 3rd
position of the part number defines the keying position, for example, EGG
is the standard single key version.
Many other keyed versions are available per the diagram below:
It is worth noting that the standard G key is the only single key version. All other so-called alternate keyed versions will have two or more keys at varying angles. In this way, the end-user can position multiple receptacles on a panel and ensure no cross-mating will occur by use of multiple key configurations to polarize the layout. This chart may seem a little daunting at first, so please don’t hesitate to call the LEMO experts
at Alpine Electronics if you have questions.
