In 1989, the Jupiter company was acquired by Frammatome/FCI. Jupiter had manufactured under license by LEMO ®, and served the French market for 30 years. Although no longer under license from LEMO ®, the products developed while Jupiter was licensed are now available as Souriau's JAX, JBX & JKX series. These connectors are not "reverse engineered" LEMO ® connectors, and in fact were marked with the LEMO ® name while Jupiter was under license. The JBX series is fully compatible with LEMO's ® B series and the JKX is fully compatible with LEMO's ® K series and the JAX is compatible with LEMO's ® S series multi-contact connectors.
