The LEMO ®push-pull connector was designed in 1957 to meet the requirements of the most demanding applications. The factory trained technical staff of Alpine Electronics has been associated with LEMO ® since 1979, longer than any other distributor.
The connector shells are turned on Swiss screw machines from brass bar stock, nickel plated, chrome plated and then bead blasted for a
durable and highly aesthetic finish. The individual contacts are also made to precise tolerances on Swiss screw machines and then heavily plated with gold for maximum conductivity and many mating cycles. The insulator bodies are made from some of the most sophisticated high temperature thermoplastics and liquid crystal polymer (LCP) materials available. The result is a very rugged, reliable and attractive connector.
If your application requires this level of quality these are the right connectors for you. You can find much more inexpensive connectors which are stamped, extruded or cast from many pacific rim suppliers or domestic parts houses; however, the manufacturing methods used by our suppliers of these connectors accommodate custom designs.and provide unsurpassed performance. The price is significantly higher, but you'll get a connector that meets or exceeds your requirements and will probably out live your equipment.
